At Heritage Dental Centre, we are constantly looking for new innovated ways to bring our patients optimal dental care. We are proud to offer to our patients the CariFree Program.

Through studies and research, the treatment of the most common disease in the world is changing.  Dental decay (cavities) can be treated and prevented with new treatment options.

People who are susceptible to decay will continue to have their teeth break down due to cavities, unless the environment in which their teeth are situated in changes.  High bacteria and acid levels lead to further cavities.

The CariFree Program is a new way to prevent cavities before they start.  CariFree employs advanced science and technology to promote strong, healthy teeth and to protect your long term dental health. CariFree has a wide range of products including:

• Varnishes
• Rinses
• Sprays
• Gum & Treats

All designed to help reduce the risk of continued cavities.  These products will reduce the continued breakdown of teeth.  Following an initial treatment rinse, a maintainence rinse with varnishes will provide a low cost and easy prevention program.

Fissure Sealants

Fissure sealants are a safe, and painless way of protecting teeth from decay.  Most teeth develop with inherent deep pits and grooves.  Those deep pits and grooves can be quite narrow and deep. Even with proper brushing and flossing they can be highly suceptible to bacterial invasion. By sealing off these pits and fissures with a plastic resin material, you prevent bacteria from creating cavities.
